LITTONDALE
PUMPKIN SHOW AND HARVEST SUPPER
Thanks to everyone who joined the Spuds weigh-in, next is the Pumpkin Show to be held on Saturday 25th October 2025, together with the Harvest Supper.
Doors open at 6.00pm
The Pumpkin Show and Harvest Supper will be held in the Hall on Saturday 25th October (doors open from 6.00pm, entries ready by 6.30pm, dinner served from 7.00pm, prizegiving at 8.00pm).
Prizes for pumpkins grown in Littondale: the heaviest pumpkin, largest girth and disaster class.
Prizes for any pumpkin (grown in Littondale or bought in): best carved pumpkin, most imaginative use of a pumpkin and a vegetable animal (to include a pumpkin).
Join us for a Harvest get together with Pie and Peas (£5.00) in Amerdale Hall.
LITTON BIRKS FELL RACE

The Queen's Arms, Litton
The Litton Birks Fell Race will be held again this year starting at the Queens Arms in Litton with refreshments and homemade cakes by Amerdale Hall.
For the first time the race will be open to juniors.
The senior race will start and finish at the Queens Arms and will not do a loop of the tarn.
Registration from 9.30 am at the Queens. Junior age groups under 9's, under 12's, under 14's, under 17's. Race start times for juniors from 10.30am.
The Senior race will not start before noon.
Entry on the day is £7.00 for seniors (£6.00 FRA members) and £3.00 for juniors, or in advance via: www.sientries.co.uk/event
Runners should be familiar with FRA requirements and minimum kit.
Cash preferred for the entry fee of paid on the day, and the delicious cake stall.
COFFEE AND CAKE MORNING
at Halton Gill Reading Room and Amerdale Hall
Just drop in from 10.30am to 12.30pm every 2nd Saturday of the month and join us for coffee, cake and a chat. Donations to Amerdale Hall. Our plan is to use Amerdale Hall one month and Halton Gill Reading Room the next. Look out for announcements on this website, the newsletter and on social media. Everyone welcome!
