UPCOMING EVENTS

LIVE MUSIC AT AMERDALE HALL

Saturday 16th May 

We are delighted to announce an evening of live music on Saturday 16th May featuring local acoustic duo The Gatsby’s. Playing a mix of their own songs plus some old favourites it’s guaranteed to be a great night, a chance for you to brush off the winter blues and put on your dancing shoes. Tickets are available online from the Amerdale Hall website (insert link) for the bargain price of £10, it promises to be a great night. Doors and bar open at 7.00.

COFFEE AND CAKE MORNING 

Saturday 9th May, Amerdale Hall

Our next coffee and Cake morning is on Saturday 9th May when once again we will we'll meet at Amerdale Hall. Just drop in from 10.30am to 12.30pm for coffee or tea, home baked cakes and a chat. Payment is by donation with all proceeds going towards the running and upkeep of Amerdale Hall. 

CHESS CLUB and THE MONDAY CLUB

Now firmly in the hall diary there are two regular sessions where you can unwind, try something different and perhaps meet some new people.

The Chess Club now meets every two weeks on a Thursday evening at 7.00pm and is open to all ages and abilities. Why not pop along and have a go perhaps it’s your turn to make a move! The Monday Club continues to meet regularly on a Monday afternoon from 1.00pm and is your chance to call in for a brew, perhaps a piece of cake and a friendly chat - all welcome. For more details about the Monday Club contact Alison Mason on 07427 039580 or Joan Middleton on 01756 770211.

CIO CONSULTATIONS WITH PARISH MEETINGS 

Trustees from the Amerdale Hall charity (the CIO) are currently giving presentations to each of the four Littondale Parishes. The presentations cover the history of the hall and its ownership and management, and a recap on recent improvement works done to the hall - new roof and toilets, and then the kitchen extension and bar improvements. We want to share some important messages with you and also get your views on the hall now and what changes and improvements you think are most important moving forward. 

If you have not attended a Parish Meeting but have a view on the running of the hall or future improvements, please let us know. You can reply to this Newsletter or email us on info@amerdale-hall-littondale.net. Or contact any Trustee.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Littondale Fete 2026 will be held on Saturday 11th August - more information on this on the website and in a future newsletter but please put the date in your diary!  If you’d like to help this year, we need volunteers. You help would be appreciated if you can:

• Donate good quality (clean) silent auction, bric-a-brac, books and local produce
• Bake cakes or savoury snacks
• Assist on the day with the car park, serving teas or manning a stall
• Help set up on Friday evening/Saturday morning or clear up on Saturday evening/Sunday morning.
• If you can help with prizes for the Silent Auction and Tombola please keep them in anticipation! We will organise a drop off point in July.

The Big Littondale Quiz - the next quiz will take place on Friday September 25th.

Littondale Christmas Party 2026 will be held on Saturday 5th December. 

CIO TRUSTEE VACANCIES 

Do you want to get more involved in the day to day running and management of Amerdale Hall? Why not become a charity trustee? We are looking for local people with a range of skills and experience and, more importantly, enthusiasm to help our hall provide a great resource for people across Littondale through its events and activities. If interested, just let us know by emailing the CIO at info@amerdale-hall-littondale.net or contacting any of the trustees. We will also be electing a new Cjair in the summer.
